“What can't be cured, must be endured”, until better times are upon us, old German proverb that catches the times some companies now act in. It’s quite interesting to see that some companies are having a field day while others are trying to stay alive. When I reach out to different clients I get all kind of interactions, some are closed down, others are run by a skeleton crew, some are conducting business as before, while others are in a rush, and can barely keep up with demands.

One conclusion is that we are all trained to argue and to try and persuade others into seeing the world as we do, and if they don’t, try harder, if necessary, use force. Most sales trainings that I have attended in my life has the same concept and build on the perception to persuade, or by manipulation, get you what you want.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have been lied to, or worse, where you have lied or at least painted a better picture of the truth? Well you are not alone, a majority of people on both sides lies or at least gives the impression that topics and issues are better or worse than what you should expect. Many of the topics people or organizations discuss when it comes to reaching an agreement and results that would be favorable for both sides are in many cases not the whole truth.

"Do ut des" in latin means " I give so that you may give", a form of transaction that occurs in many different relationships . Nowadays I do not watch television as much as before, mostly because I hate all the commercials that interrupts all the time, at best I record a film and watch it later, but in most cases I watch Netflix or some other streaming media when it suits me. The other day I was looking at the German series called "Berlin Babylon", on SVT1, an interesting series in may ways, love watching how people lived in the 1920s-1930s, and how they reacted to the political conditions after the Great war in Berlin.

It is one thing that we run a lot of courses and trainings with different companies, in many cases it is all about training them into how they can be successful in their own world and in their own business cases in a proper way, and still stay in control.
