The translations of the Latin quote differ, but if I simplify it, I would translate it into “He who dares, wins.” For those of you who know about military history, you will probably associate the quote with SAS, or Special Air Service as they are called around the world. Common for all SAS actions are, that in all of them, the initiative and actions are all due to proactive and determent men, who keep on going no matter the odds or circumstances. It’s all about ceasing the initiative and letting the momentum stay in your favour and to keep the opponent guessing where you are, where you are going and what your goal is.

Way back, Monthy Python made a great sketch about a man who would like to pay for arguing, the famous sketch started off with a short dialogue, that suddenly ends with John Cleese saying, "Time is up", and the man answering "No it isn't" and John says "Yes it is". It is so easy to sometimes fall into the trap of expressing an opinion, and ending up in a furious argument over a principal that none of us will ever back down from.

It is quite interesting to have the possibility to pick someone's brain when you know they got the knowledge you are looking for, and if they have a lifetime of experience that you would love to get access to. It is not always the case that they will give you the advice or answer you are looking for, especially when you either don't have the right relationship with them, or when there is not enough trust between you.

One of the most common request we get from our participants and clients, are that they would like to be more in control, be more confident, and to have a great tool box that they can use in different situations that occur. The issues they bring up, on both sides, are that the customers are not responding, to long presentations, not addressing the right issues, too much time spent on arguing back and forth, price focus and not listening well enough.

En värld i förändring

Det kan väl lugnt påstås att det händer en hel del just nu och att 2020 så här långt har varit fullt av överraskningar för oss alla både på gott och ont. För vår egen del så har allt fullkomligt rivstartat efter sommaren, då vi i dialog med en rad olika företag och organisationer i princip bara väntat på hur utvecklingen skulle se ut och om läget skulle vara värre eller bättre på den Svenska och Nordiska marknaden.
